A Message from the Academic Dean

While Whitefield Theological Seminary concentrates on training ministers of the Gospel in the theological standards of the Reformation, the Thornwell Presbyterian Divinity College has a corresponding mission. We are dedicated to training those who would serve their congregations as Elders and Deacons. This training is also in the traditions and standards of the Reformation.

As a former minister, I know first-hand the benefit of having Elders and Deacons who are thoroughly trained and able to render effective ministry to the congregation. I also know of what can happen when Elders and Deacons are not trained. For these reasons, I am pleased to offer these programs for effective training and leadership development.
